About Vietnamese
Vietnamese belongs to the austroasijským language. It is the official language of Vietnam and the ethnic minorities that use the language are mainly scattered abroad. Almost half of the vocabulary in Vietnamese is borrowed from Chinese. The basic building blocks are independent syllables, just like words in European languages. Each syllable is pronounced in a certain pitch, which is an important sign that distinguishes the language.
The Vietnamese standard language distinguishes between six tones. Compared with the original Vietnamese vocabulary, the Chinese vocabulary is mainly a two-syllable vocabulary. Vietnamese uses word order and auxiliary slsvek to express numbers or time. When many words appear in pairs, they have a new meaning. Vietnamese is a tonal language that is inconsistent with other Asian languages. What is even more surprising is that it is written in Latin letters. Latin came to Vietnam in the 17th century with European missionaries. Eventually, after the First World War, the system was formed. When the original character font was introduced, it was generally shaped according to the Chinese model.
